GIBS President Prof. George at the 11th International
Deep-sea Biology Symposium in Southampton, UK (see GIBS
Research Report 3).

Nurturing cooperation
and collaboration between US federal agencies. |

- The principles and model for
such an interagency working relationship is envisaged in the
Oct. 24-25 GIBS conference at the Harvard University for
establishing the ‘Federal Interagency Deep-Sea Coral Task
Force’ for prevention of biodiversity decline in seamounts
and deep-sea coral reefs. This workshop co-chaired by Prof
Edward O. Wilson (Harvard) and Prof. Robert Y. George
(GIBS).
